Steinway Piano Gallery Orlando was founded by Gary and Kathy Grimes in 1987. Over thirty-eight years, it has grown into the largest Steinway dealer in Florida and Central Florida's only authorized Steinway & Sons dealer — partner to the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Orlando Ballet, Orlando Opera, the University of Central Florida, the University of Florida, Stetson University, Santa Fe College, Valencia College, and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

The gallery is also the home of the Steinway Society, a charity founded by the Grimes family that provides free piano lessons and instruments to underserved children in the greater Orlando area — a mission that will continue beyond Gary's retirement.
